Why is CoStore more eco-friendly than traditional self-storage providers?

Traditional storage facilities require extensive construction work, resulting in high CO₂ emissions. CoStore uses storage containers instead of massive new buildings. Our containers are durable and can later be reused as shipping containers. CoStore consumes very little energy—comparable to a single household—whereas classic indoor self-storage incurs high energy consumption for lighting, heating, and cooling.

How do I find the right storage container for my needs?

What storage unit sizes does CoStore offer?

What can and am I allowed to store in a CoStore storage unit?

You can store furniture, household items, tools, and business inventory. Prohibited items include food, animals, hazardous substances, drugs, weapons, as well as working inside the container.

Am I allowed to work or sleep in a self-storage unit?

No. The storage units are intended exclusively for storage. Working or sleeping in the container is not permitted.

How much does it cost to rent a storage container at CoStore?

Is there a minimum rental period for a storage unit?

The minimum rental period is one month. After that, the contract can be cancelled on a monthly basis.

How long can I rent a self-storage unit and what are the notice periods?

At CoStore, you can cancel monthly. Cancellation is easily done online via the customer portal or by email.

Can I adjust the number of my storage units if my needs change?

Yes. An upgrade or downgrade is possible, provided that capacities are available.

What payment methods does CoStore accept for my storage unit?

Online payment via credit card or direct debit. Cash payment is not possible.

How does the move-out process from my storage unit work?

The container must be left clean and empty. You then send a photo of the empty container via email or WhatsApp. The access code remains active until the end of the rental period and is automatically deactivated afterwards.

Many locations offer 24/7 access. Location-dependent restrictions are possible.

How do I gain access to my self-storage unit?

After booking online, the gate opens via a phone call from your registered number. You will then receive an SMS with your unit number and a combination lock code.

Are there any special requirements or permits?

At CoStore, all facilities are fully permitted. You can use the storage space with full legal certainty.

Basic insurance up to €1,000 is included. The insurance coverage can be flexibly extended.

Covered risks include: fire, explosion, lightning strike; burglary, vandalism; robbery; tap water; storm, hail; building collapse; vehicle impact; natural hazards; strikes, and civil unrest.
